We are a small but committed Benedictine influenced Roman Catholic community on the tropical island of Bimini in The Bahamas. The parish was founded in 1941 by John and Rosa Levarity, converts to the Faith, who worked devotedly for the development of the Catholic Faith on the island. Benedictine monks pastored the parish for much of its history.  In 2021 the parish celebrated its 80th anniversary. The parish includes Cat Cay and its chapel of "San Luis Rey".
St Benedict is a patron of our parish and we are infused with  Benedictine spirituality, placing God above all else, striving to live simply, humbly and with a welcoming heart and spirit towards all. We are a parish of the ARCHDIOCESE OF NASSAU.
We are also committed to a prayer ministry that prays for people everyday -- for you.

There is only one Catholic Church on Bimini.

We are located on Queen's Highway, better known as "the top street".

(there are only two narrow streets on Bimini each running north/south.)

We are about 2.5 miles south of the cruise ship pier.

Holy Name church is pyramidal in design.  Everyone knows the church.

The best way to get to us is to take a taxi from the cruise ship port.

The driver can also pick you up after church.
