ROMAN CATHOLIC ARCHDIOCESE OF NASSAU THE YEAR OF SAINT JOSEPH
We are a small but committed Roman Catholic community on the tropical island of Bimini in The Bahamas. The parish was founded in 1941 by John and Rosa Levarity, converts to the Faith, who worked devotedly for the development of the Catholic Faith on the island. Beginning with a few family members and friends the parish grew in number. A small church was built in 1946 which was replaced in 1988. In 2016 the parish celebrated its 75th anniversary. The parish includes Cat Cay and its chapel of San Luis Rey. St Benedict is a patron of our parish and we are infused with a Benedictine spirituality, placing God above all else, striving to live simply, humbly and with a welcoming heart and spirit towards all. We are a parish of the ARCHDIOCESE OF NASSAU.
We are also committed to a prayer ministry that prays for people everyday -- for you.
